Health & Wellness Seminars:
Our bodies and minds are a wealth of untapped wisdom.
They create a holistic unit that works together
every day to
help us manifest our deepest goals and dreams.
We are designed to be perfectly healthy all of
the time.
Our bodies are designed to regenerate themselves continually
every
day
of our lives. If we are not healthy, it means that
communication
has broken down somewhere. There is a block in our
mind/body/spiritual system.
By understanding what is going on in your bodies, we are
able to help the body on its path to healing.
1) Introduction to Ayurvedic Body Types:
Ayurveda is an ancient healing system from India.
The system
is based on three "energies" that all of our bodies and minds possess
to differing degrees. If these energies are out of balance we
can
have all kinds of problems in our lives - illness, depression,
etc.
Each of us also has a particular body/mind
makeup.
This
makeup determines whether we gain or lose weight easily, whether we
tend to be calm, hyper or passionate. It describes what kinds
of activities we are drawn to (for good or for bad). It
describes the foods that we are drawn to (again, for good or bad...).
This is an easy system to understand that can guide us
in
many ways.
It helps us choose activities that are good for us.
We learn about how various body types manifest illness.
2) Honouring the Wisdom of PMS:
What if Pre-Menstrual
Syndrome was one of the greatest things given to women?
The
reality is that PMS is a monthly gift of intuition that can help
guide you in your life and relationships.
If you
have any problems in this area - physical, emotional or mental -
then this is the seminar for you.
Great
for women's groups - sororities, service clubs or groups of
friends!
3) What are our Chakras?
There
are seven energy centres in the body called
chakras. Each
chakra governs different aspects
of our physical, emotional and mental health.
When
certain physical things go wrong in the
body, by understanding which chakra is affected, we can figure out what
else is going on emotionally and mentally that might be contributing to the
physical problems.
4) What if you could skip the cancer?:
What if breast cancer isn't what we think?
What if it isn't the unbeatable monster that it is made out
to be?
What if there was a way to end the legacy once and for all?
This seminar was born out of Katrina's personal
experiences (see "Katrina's Bio"). It is her story plus
research that defines a radically different way of looking at cancer.
Great
for anyone who is worried about breast cancer. If cancer runs
in
your family or if breast cancer is a concern at all, this seminar will
give you a new way of looking at life and the role that illness plays
in it.
