The World Around UsAlbert Einstein

This world is a fascinating place to live.  For years, scientists believed that everything was like a simple science experiment - you drop a ball and it hits the ground in "so many" seconds...  Everything was assumed to be simple - they even called it the "Clockwork Universe".

But we know better.  We know that life isn't simple.  We know that our relationships and our health and the economy and the weather aren't simple.

New ideas about reality were needed.  And so, a whole new set of sciences were born that actually understood this crazy world - Quantum Physics and Chaos Theory.

Most people are scared off immediately by these words - but no need!  They actually simply state in scientific terms what you already know intuitively about the world.

And so, if you are looking for a truly innovative way of looking at life and understanding how it all works, then this is the seminar for you.

You can have a one-hour presentation on a single topic or we can choose a number of topics and create a half-day or full-day seminar.

Presentation Topics:

1) The Illusion of Independence:

We have all heard the saying that "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts".  But what does that mean in our everyday lives?

We have a habit of breaking the world down into little pieces and then analyzing them.  We look at aspects of other people's lives and then make judgements based on what we see.  We look at small aspects of our own lives and focus positively or negatively on them.  The problem is that the individual pieces mean nothing if you don't consider the whole situation.

The individual pieces are not independent of each other.  They not only have their own role to play, they also play roles with each other.  The illusion of independence creates all kinds of complications.

This topic applies to:

  • our self-image
  • our body's health
  • how we interact in groups
  • almost any topic you can think of...

2) Loving living in a Chaotic World:

Quantum Image

New sciences have found out that our world is not the simple place we'd like to think it is.  In fact, scientists give it the following description: chaos.

This is not the chaos that we normally associate with riots and mayhem.  It simply means that up close, it is hard to understand what is going on.  You need to step back a bit and observe the whole system if you are going to understand it.

The focus of this presentation is to teach the specific ways to deal with chaotic systems.

How do we deal with them differently than simple systems?  How can we feel like we have some kind of control?

The reality is that human beings LOVE chaotic systems.  You just have to know how to play the game!!

3) The Power of Choice:

Two pathsWhen you play, everything changes.

The decision to make choices along your journey is the only thing that will make a difference in your life.

This topic goes hand-in-hand with the discussion on chaos theory.  In a chaotic system (and we are definitely one!), the presence of someone playing the game is the most important thing.

This is important in your relationships, your health, your family and your work.  It seems obvious but the short and long-term implications of choosing or not are endless.

This is an empowering seminar that everyone should hear at least once.

4) Quantum Leaps - how your life can change and grow in quantum jumps

Quantum Physics has completely altered how we see change happening.

When scientists started looking at the parts of the atom, they were distressed to see that the inner parts would just appear in different places.  They could not see a trail that was taken.  This is a quantum leap - it is "here", now it is "there".  No pathway.Quantum worlds

The interesting thing is that sometimes this exact phenomenon is possible in our everyday lives.  There are times when the journey is important.  But there are other times when a quantum leap (sometimes called a miracle) is possible.

What we will talk about is being able to tell the difference!
